Beechwood handles, tampico and horsehair bristles, at 18, 24 and 32 cm. The short one gets into grout lines, the middle one takes a countertop, the long one reaches a tub or a car sill without you bending double.
The handles are solid beechwood, turned rather than molded, with a slight barrel shape so a wet hand does not slide down the shaft. Beechwood takes water better than most cheaper hardwoods and does not swell and split the way a soft pine handle will after a year at a kitchen sink.
Bristles are split by job, not by brush size. The 18 cm brush and the 24 cm brush use tampico fiber, a plant bristle stiff enough to scrub grout and tile grout lines without scratching glazed surfaces. The 32 cm brush switches to horsehair, softer and better suited to a bathtub, a car interior sill or anywhere you are covering more ground and want to protect a painted or coated finish.
Bristle and handle, in plain terms
Tampico comes from the agave plant and has been the standard fiber for stiff scrub brushes for a long time, mostly because it holds its shape wet and dries fast enough that it does not sour between uses. It is coarser to the touch than horsehair, which is exactly why we put it on the two smaller brushes meant for grout, tile seams and the inside edge of a sink.
Horsehair on the 32 cm brush is softer and slightly springier, which matters on a longer handle where more leverage means more pressure at the bristle tip. A stiff fiber on a long brush would scratch a tub surface fast; a soft one on a short brush would not clear dried grime from a grout line at all. The set is built around that difference, not around three identical brushes in three lengths.
The beechwood is sealed lightly at the factory and will darken slightly with repeated wetting near the ferrule, which is cosmetic and does not affect the bristle set. If a handle ever splits at the ferrule within the first year, we replace that brush — see the guarantee page for the exact terms.

Households doing their own bathroom and kitchen upkeep, not a cleaning crew running through units — we do not sell this in bulk case quantities and have no wholesale pricing to offer if you call asking. One set replaces a drawer of mismatched dollar-store brushes with three that actually differ in a way you can feel between jobs.
